Deals in Franklin

Just like last year, Starbucks is doing Buy One Get One from 2-5pm on their seasonal drinks from Nov. 17th (today) until Nov. 20th. Click here to view all of the details on their site. This is good deal, and this is really the only time those drinks are worth the money, especially because they are so sweet. If you are really looking for good coffee in Franklin, you need to go to Maxximojo’s Coffee on 96/Murfreesboro Rd. near the interstate.

Locations: I know of 5 Starbucks in the Franklin area:

• Downtown: Right on the corner of 5 points by Sweet CeCe’s
• I-65/96: Just off Murfreesboro Rd. by Publix and Home Depot
• Target on Columbia: South Franklin in the Target by Kroger
• Cool Springs: Near Borders, Carrabba’s, Wolfgang Puck, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc.
• Carother’s Parkway: Behind the publix on Moore’s Lane near Dan McGuiness and Tin Roof

A good time and great food is what you can expect at Mickey Roos. Below are the current deals going on at Mickey Roos. My Take: This would be a fun place to go with friends if you are looking for some good food. I have not been there enough to make any reccomendations, but it is good none the less.

It was the strangest thing when I thought I was going to have dinner at the new brick-oven pizza place next to Whole Foods and realized there were two! It turns out that the one we had a coupon for was the one I didn’t even know existed. My wife and I got an appetizer, two pizzas and since they had great drink specials, we bought some beers too. Before I lose you with too much of a story… this place is awesome! I have been back multiple times and it is now my default place to go with friends and family. The location is great since it is right off the interstate and just south of Cool Springs. I will spare you of further bias for this establishment and get on with the specials.

Wait…one more thing. Their pizzas and drink specials wonderful, but if for some reason you want something else, check out the deals at Boscos and Cool Springs Brewery. I like both of those places, but I don’t visit them too often since Brixx went in.

My Take: If you couldn’t tell from my comments above… I think this place does a lot of things right. The people are very nice, the food is good, they have a KILLER beer selection and a great location. The one thing that I am not crazy about are the uniforms. Everything else is really nice, but the waiters wear blue t-shirts. If that is the biggest complaint out of me you know this place is worth checking out.

Can you tell I love coffee? Starbucks is doing a promotion starting tomorrow (May 6th) through Sunday May 15th all thanks to the warm weather. The deal is this… from 3pm - 5pm on all those days they are doing a half priced Frappuccino happy hour. 

I don’t like these all that much, cause they are too sweet for me, but this is still a good deal. I don’t usually make it to Starbucks during this time of day, but I may grab the lady and head in. If you check OUT this deal… check IN on yelp and friend me (see sidebar).
